A for Awesome Neema

IMG-20160613-WA0004Awesome is an understatement for the young Christian mum who happens to be an excellent blogger at neemajoel.com ,meet Neema Joel whose smile radiates her slogan of being an expert in giving love.Join me as she takes me through her life as a blogger.
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Am a stay at home mum who loves blogging and cooking.
2. Tell us a little about your blog and how you first got involved in blogging? The first job i got after campus involved blogging and managing social media accounts, this became my stepping stone to become a blogger.i used to have another blog before but after getting married i took it down because i was not sure i could manage marriage and blogging but after settling in marriage i thought about it and i was sure i wanted to blog again and that’s when i settled on my current blog.i decided to blog again because i realized many people especially the youth look up to me and i wanted to give them a platform to read about somethings that they might not know,i personally didn’t know a lot of things before marriage but now i do.
3. What do you find most challenging about blogging ?
Managing the home and finding time to blog.its a tough balance.
4.What do you blog about?
I write recipes, modesty post, about how to take care of natural hair and pretty much encouraging stuff that people can relate to.
5. How long on average does it take
for you to write a blog post from
concept to publication ?It depends on what am writing about, recipes and adventure posts take around 10- 20 minutes but more sentimental things take longer around 30 minutes .
7. How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog?
The content is mostly geared around my daily experiences and what i have been doing over the week.
8.What would you prioritize? Content? SEO?Traffic or Readers?i major on the content because that is what i put out there,i don’t major on how many people read it because i believe that if you write good content that people can read and relate with,it will definitely get readers.
9.A lot of people are interested in blogging for the money earning potential. Have u monetized your blog?if not do you plan on doing that?i have not monetized my blog, but it depends on how much i get to do with time.Monetizing my blog means that i do adverts by talking about some products currently that is not the main agenda,However i would later but not now.
10. What has been your strategy for creating visibility to your blog?I share my posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, that’s how i get my followers .
11.Everyone has a favorite/least favorite
post. Name yours and why?My favorite was(laughing) the one i wrote about my husband’s birthday, i was surprised how many people read it and i actually wondered whether people actually read what i write or they are just interested in my personal life.i don’t however have a worst post.
12.What’s the biggest make that you’ve made blogging that you’re comfortable disclosing
and what advice would you give to other bloggers so that they could avoid it.
I actually don’t think i have any but what i always think about is my privacy and that of my family especially because my husband is a very private man and so i always blog in a way not to disclose too much information.
13. Name some of the bloggers whom you look up to and why?it depends on the topic ,for natural hair i have two one is Whitney her channel is naptural85 ,she is so knowledgeable as far as taking care of natural hair is concerned and craving yellow, she is Kenyan and i can actually relate to her more because her hair is more like mine unlike Whitney who is black American and her strands are different from mine.i also follow Sidney Liam her blog is called The Day book blog, she has a family her blog and she writes nice and well structured posts. Finally our very own This is Ess,she actually inspired me to start writing my own personal blog apart from the fact that my job was to blog.
14.If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?I would suggest that you find something you are passionate about to ensure you get great content, getting content for something you are not passionate about is not so easy.
15.Anything you would want to add?Blogging is not very easy it is a give and take affair where you give up your privacy and gain people you are inspiring or encouraging .If you feel you can actually do that then go for it.

Rudisha mapenzi Nyumbani

Its Tuesday, (read Rudisha mapenzi nyumbani Tuesday) ,there is something about Tuesday’s that makes me feel and think about love things. So today i hope we can try see how to be better lovers, more lovable and ofcos happier, isn’t being happy in everyone’s wish list?i want us to think about Communication, its really a long word that has alot of influence in our lives.Communication is the act of passing information from one person to another,it may be verbal where you talk to a person or non verbal where you smile, wink etc,i was a terribly poor communicator (still trying to perfect) due to my over independent nature and this would lead me in loggerheads with the people i love or the people who love me,i would go somewhere and lack to communicate and they would be worried sick what has happened to me,this went on for a while till i met someone who taught me the importance of communication so i will share some basic communication principles that i hope will help each one of you single or double(read married) to be better individuals
1: The Principle of First Response
The course of a conflict is not determined by the person who initiates, but by the person who responds. As the respondent you can actually decide whether to be calm and solve the issue well or be rude and bring about a fight. As Proverbs 15:1 says, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” So this week i hope we can try to be gentle and wise in our response be it to our family members, our partners, colleagues, schoolmates or buddies
2.The Principle of Proper Timing:
The success of a conversation can be
maximized if the timing of the
conversation is carefully chosen.i used to wait till my dad is ready to leave the house before i actually tell him i need something ,he would mostly forget about it or he would snob and leave, this would hurt me alot since i didn’t understand why he would snob me or forget some important things, but one day he called me and told me he usually gives us all his time before he leaves for work and immediately after work yet i only tell him of things when he is almost approaching the gate,i then realised that for communication to be effective it has to be timely. Lets all know what timing is best to communicate with the people we love before actually communicating.
3.The Principle of Physical Touch:
It is difficult to sin against someone while you are tenderly touching him or her.I observed that when communicating with someone when touching them and our conversation begins to drift toward conflict, we stopped touching. I found what I’m certain you’ll find: It is very difficult to fight with someone you are tenderly touching. So, we had a choice at that point: to stop fighting
so we could keep touching or to stop
touching so we could keep fighting. Most often than not we would not land into fighting. These simple gentle touches are deterrents from arguing, try them and tell me if they worked for you.
4.The Principle of Mirroring:
Understanding can be enhanced if we
measure it often throughout a
conversation. Have you ever meant one thing by what you said but the person you were talking to heard something else? It can make for very frustrating communication. If you’re not sure if the person your talking to is getting what
you’re talking about, check to see if you
hear this phrase a lot: “What do you mean by that?”I had this really good friend who never got what i meant,he would negate all my statements for example i say ‘how far are you?’ and he understands’ why are you ever late?’ and start defending himself, am not a fun of defense or excuses and therefore an argument would arise. Mirroring can help you test whether you are hearing your partner properly. Once your partner makes a point … repeat it to him or her. Say something like this: “So, what I hear you saying is …” or, “Are you saying … ?” Then, in your own words, tell him or her what you understand to have been said. Then, the most important part of mirroring comes-You must allow your
Partner to either affirm or correct what
you’ve said.it worked for me,try it friends.
5.Principle of Prayer-i can only put this by quoting what evangelist R.A. Torrey said on prayer:
“The reason why many fail in battle is because they wait until the hour of battle. The reason why others succeed is because they have gained their victory on their knees long before the battle came …Anticipate your battles; fight them on your knees before temptation
comes, and you will always have victory
This said and done i place the ball in your court, its upto you to Rudisha Mapenzi nyumbani

Lotsa love

Business Monday

Hey buddies,You all missed me like i missed you, right?yaah i totally missed you,i know its been a while but am now back with a plan of how we will meet to part no more #singing as i go
Thanks for you guys who really encouraged me to continue blogging when it got to that part in life where everything in life gets sugarless except that one thing that happens to be the only sugar you know, sweet friends and funs.
So yah life has been sugar and salt and all the in betweens but am glad to be back,i love you guys, not just because you read all my pretty heart spillings but because you like them.i have come up with a routine to make our life down here alittle organized,am not a really routine kind of girl partly because spontaneous is my middle name and suprises is my surname but being random has proved that am a pretty case of classical dysfunctionality so lets try the routine way. However il try out the routine before i tell you,to test how workable it is because i don’t want you guys to be disappointed, but i hope it works.
Away from me,today is Monday, business Monday, so i want to educate you on one or two things in the business world.let’s talk about UBER,am sure many have heard this term mentioned and probably know alitle about it but how about learning much more.
1)What is Uber?Uber in a riders perspective is a convenient, inexpensive and safe taxi service. For drivers, Uber provides them with exceptional pay while enabling them to be their own boss and choose their own working hours.
2)How does it work? To start using Uber
as a passenger, first you must signup to
create an account and either link your credit card or PayPal account as a form of payment. You will only be charged when you take rides, but this allows for a cash-free environment. Whenever you need a ride; simply open up the Uber app on your phone, insure the pickup location is where you are at that particular time, select the car service you
prefer from the bottom, tap “Set Pickup
Location”, then confirm your request by
tapping “Tap To Request”
3)What are the conditions you have to meet to use uber?
As a user you have to be over 18years old.As a driver you need to be atleast 21years old ,u also must own/have access to a good condition 4-door vehicle and not older than 2006 .
What are the prices?
Base fare: 100 KSh
Cost per min:4 KSh
Cost per km: 60.27 KSh
Service fee: 0 KSh
Cancellation fee: 200
Hope you are have learnt one or two thing
Lotsa love
